Firefighter Mock Interview/ Coaching Vancouver B.C.

Rich began his professional fire service career in his home town of Kamloops in central British Columbia in 1976 were he rose through the ranks to the position of Acting Chief Fire Prevention Officer. He accepted the job of Fire Chief in the neighbouring community of Merritt in 1991 to 1999. From Merritt Rich and his family moved to beautiful Vancouver Island where he took on the position of Chief Training Officer with the District of Langford. In 2003, he took over the Chief’s position with another neighbouring community - View Royal, where he retired from in 2005. Rich is an honorary life member of the Fire Prevention Officers’ Association of British Columbia.
Rich has first hand experence at conducting firefighter interviews and is now providing canidates with mock interviews/ interview coaching for entry level firefighter canidates.

This interview for all intents and purposes will simulate the real thing. Clients will appear in front of former fire chief Richard Finley. The interview will consist of one or two Interviewers based on the package purchased or available.
The interview will be provided in a boardroom setting at the local college, and will be conducted precisely as the actual Fire Department interview would.

The “Study Guide For The Firefighter Interview” will teach how to prepare for that critical interview. You will then sit in front of a (mock) hiring panel and be expected to answer typical Fire Department interview questions. Following the interview, you will receive a critique filled with valuable tips and tools on how to polish your performance. The entire proceedings will be video taped for your review.
