Don’t miss the opportunity to tell them a little about yourself if asked to do so. This question is usually designed to break the tension and allow the candidate and board to get comfortable with each other before beginning the formal interview. Listing your hobbies and interests shows depth to your character and may provide a common non-fire related interest with a board member that could start them off on your side.
